Briggs Coaches was established in 1970 with one vehicle in operation. In the late 70’s we expanded into a larger company with more vehicles ranging from cars to 53 seat coaches.
In the late 1980’s we changed from a coach firm to a Mini Coach firm where we experimented for a couple of years with self-drive hire mini buses.
In the late 1980’s early 1990’s we re-established the company into a mini bus and coach firm with our vehicles ranging from 8 seat up to 25 seat coaches and disbursing of the self-drive hire side of the company. Primarily school and industrial contracts and private hire were our main customers with also offering local public houses vehicle hire for game nights.
In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s we up-sized our vehicles, making our largest coach, a 33 seat higher specification passenger transporter for private hire and privately organised tour work.
In 2002 we purchased our first brand new luxury Mercedes mini coach to continue the progress of the company up to the present day where we currently have up-sized to 35 seat luxury coaches with the accompany of two brand new BMC 35 seat luxury mini coaches purchased in 2005 to focus more on a higher grade of passenger comfort of which we started in 2002.
It now has a mixed fleet of Executive and Standard coaches from 18 to 35 seat coaches for all types of work.
